Chase, Scotland’s Millennium Awards Scheme for young people supports the personal development of 14-25 year olds through creative award opportunities. Funded by The Millennium Commission, Chase will initially make 300 awards nationwide. The programme aims to involve socially excluded young people who have a project idea that could make a difference to both themselves and their communities. Each Young Person becomes a part of the project by completing an application for a small grant award to cover the expenses of a project idea, which will benefit themselves and their community. Each award comes with Mentor support and guidance for up to 6 months. We continue to be amazed by the variety of creative ideas young people wish to make into projects, ranging from digital photography exhibitions and video diaries to exchanging ideas with other young people in different parts of Europe. |
