Hi,
I am Valerie and I am helping to create a Travellers peoples website.
I am helping to design some of the things that will be on the pages
and helping with some of the photos. It is to show other younger
people what we have done and still do. |

I
clean a lot and me and my family love to go to most of the
fairs. My most favourite animal is a dog because they are
so cute. I have five of them. Two are my brothers and three
are mine. I love to watch my little cousin and I like going
shopping a lot. When we’re at the fairs my mammy and
aunts love to buy dishes and carpets. When we’re in
London we go to all the markets and they’re really nice.
When me and my family went to France it was very very nice
and I hope we go back there soon because I loved it very much

I’m
Lisa Devers and I’m 16 years old. I live in Muthill
in Perthshire, Scotland and I’ve got an older sister
and two good-looking brothers (or so they think!). I like
walking my dog Leo and generally being sporty, playing football
and riding bikes. I love meeting new people and that’s
one of the reasons this project was so good. I also like being
away in the trailer and travelling up and down, I hate being
in one place for too long.
This project has been excellent, we got to take a big part
in it and got to do the deciding and that made it good, taking
a lead part.

I'm
Joe Townsley, 14 years old, and I live in Edinburgh. I go
to secondary school and go travelling in the summertime. I
really love travelling and meeting up with other Gypsy/Travellers,
especially at the fairs. I get so depressed when I have to
go back to the house. I also like going to dances and meeting
other Young Gypsy-Travellers there. I have been involved in
quite a lot of projects already, like I've done some newspaper
articles and last year I did a bit on a TV programme called
First Edition. Right now I have just started working with
some others on a new project to learn and meet up with European
Roma young people. |
